Default Weight Questions

OK I have done alot of research and I can't find a proven answer but what I wanna know is how much does a gutted 88-91 CRX weigh as opposed to a 92-95 hatch gutted. I know the CRX is gonna be lighter but I wanna know by how much. I am open for even full interior weight but I want to see some facts not just the stigma behind a CRX being so much lighter than all. Thanks

James

This is one of the first things that I have found. Do you think it is correct.

"The lightest of all CRXs, the 1988 HF, weighed in at just a hair over 1,800 lbs (with a dry gas tank), almost 200 lbs lighter than the contemporary Si."

Here is what I found on the 92-95
1992 Honda Civic CX HB MT 2094
1992 Honda Civic DX HB AT 2275
1992 Honda Civic Si HB MT 2326
1992 Honda Civic VX HB MT 2094
1992 Honda Civic DX CPE MT 2224
1992 Honda Civic DX CPE AT 2317
1992 Honda Civic EX CPE MT 2390
1992 Honda Civic EX CPE AT 2445
1995 Honda Civic CX HB MT 2108
1995 Honda Civic DX HB MT 2178
1995 Honda Civic DX HB AT 2264
1995 Honda Civic Si HB MT 2390
1995 Honda Civic VX HB MT 2094
1995 Honda Civic DX CPE MT 2231
1995 Honda Civic DX CPE AT 2326
1995 Honda Civic EX CPE MT 2443
1995 Honda Civic EX CPE AT 2502

Now my decision is that I am wanting to do an H22 car and is it worth the extra couple hundred pound loss to run the CRX or would it make my life alot easier to put it in a Hatch. I can't decide. I have found a few CRX's but no hatches yet. Also I like the availibility of stuff for the 92-95 but they also have alot out for the CRX also. So I guess that my big question is that is it worth the headache to put the H22 in a CRX and be lighter or put up with the extra weight and be a little easier in the hatch. Thanks

An H22 in a CRX makes a beast. There are actually several people on here that have the same combination, maybe they will see this and point you in the right direction.

There is another question:
how much do you like the cars? There are people who love their crx's, and there is even more people who adore their eg hatches. As far as the amount of the work involved in both, its obvious, but you have to decide which one looks or you like the best too. If you love your crx enough, you can take the ultimate task man. Hybrid K24 block w/ K20A2 Head, run hondata, and build it.
Thats love right there. IMO, anyone would look impressed when you pull up anywhere and show people a 2.2 dohc engine that makes ~200 hp on a 1800 lbs chassis

my 89 crx hf weighed 2080 with a b18c1 w a hydro tranny using hasport hydro mount kit and me. The car has no rear interior (was messedup when i got it) but all the front interior is there including carpet. Both seats. That means im weigh in at 130 and the car with the engine weighs in at 1950 with no driver. Oh yeah I dont know how much the gas i had in car because gas gauge doesnt work.

Just for comparison,
My old '93 cx hatch with ls motor, rear interior, front carpet, and bumper supports taken out weighed in at 1960lbs.
