*searched* switching ecu's
I did a quick search and didnt really come up with anything. My question is as follows. I have a chipped pr3 obd0 ecu and get vtec at 4800rpm, so i dont want to use this ecu as a daily driver. I was wondering if i bought a stock pr3 it would be ok for the motor. thanks!

Why are you wanting to buy a whole new ECU? You should be able to get someone to burn you a stock PR3 bin onto an eprom and you could pop that into your ECU for daily driving purposes. Is the 4800 vtec too low for you?
If you're going to swap chips around, and your ECU is already socketed, I'd recommend a ZIF socket. It makes it so much easier and you wont have to worry about bending the pins on your chips.

yes. id like to some what still have gas miliage, free way driving im allways in vtec. also i dont want to have to open the box up to change the socket. really the only thing im worried about it is changing fuel maps and if that will effect the motor to the point of it beng "bad" for it.
