1) is that a good price? all the websites ive found it on list nothing for price
2) will that keep out water/road debris/misc crap?
3) is it worth it?

im sure they have some one ebay, but maybe not the real spoon intake, a copy cf one. ive seen just the abs plastic ones also.

 

how are they in rain tho? do they keep water and road debris out?

 

It'll be fine unless you drive into water past your bumper height.

 

im sure they do a better job that your average cai. as for debris, i would find it difficult to believe that anything can get in there

 

i just dont want small rocks flying into my engine...

 

You will be running the filter and the plate that kinda blocks off the filter in the stock box right ? You should be fine if a rock does go up which I highly doubt it will just sit in the box.

 

It wont, its just a scoop that directs more air into your stock intake box. It still has to get through the filter.

i think all the snorkle intakes are just cf bling....

j's racing had a tube design for our cars??? i thought they only had the snorkle

 

spoon air intake box is dyno proven to give 3-4 hp

it's not a box.. it's just the snorkle and the spoon drop in filter

 

Every intake company says that.

 

*shrug* it looks tight, and its from spoon, i have a hard time beleiving that when spoon makes something it doesnt do anything

well believe it.. the mugen snorkle doesnt' do much, and neither does the j's racing..... it's an s2000 we are talking about....... honda did it's homework all the way down to the bolts on the car...

I think it will prove to be a little better in throttle response, cause that is fine by me. But I'm not using the spoon filter I'm using the K&N.

If you really think about it, it should help a little cause it taking a direct charge of air and sending it into you intake, makes sense to me. I just hated the comptech Ice box cause it ran along the rain gutter on the fender and water would get in the box when I washed the car

 

i'm not hating hehehehe.. i'd buy one.. but nah, to much money...hahahaha i'll pass hahahaha.

but it does look nice..
