aebs intake manifold
As im sitting here in school ive been thinking about the new manfold i got and how fun its going to be trying to hook up the vacume hoses correctly......
On the new manifold all the little plug/nipple things, whatever they are, they are all in the back of the manifold instead of the front/top.. How much will it matter if they are not hooked up 100% correctly? cause they are all going to the same place.. right?
if you have had experience with this, please leave any recomended tips..
________
and also how much does it run to get an ecu installed?
THANKS

If all the vaccume hoses are not in the correct place it is bad. Just take your time and label them as you take them off your old IM so that it makes it a tad easier when you put them on the new one.
from my experience if you make sure they're all connected and there is vaccum they work... i had the same doubts before when i put on a new i/m.... try it and see if you get a leak, if anything else happens.. if your really worried search a diagram.... lmk
well, about 9 hours later, hah - manifold is all installed and running great, no idle problems, no vacume leaks,, Everything went well and alot more top end power is noticable
Not to hard of a swap, just alot of time, and some grinding down of teh bottom of the manfold so it would fit in, other then some minor tweaks and a rubber hammer to get it in, all went well
was gonna post some pics but its late, probably will do it later
thanks fellas

Before we took it apart we just taped and labeled all the hoses, there are only like 3 hoses that even go to the manifold, half of the vacume hoses go to the TB and most of them are plugs, so as they were labeled we just put them back in
i thought it was going to be alot harder with the vacumes cause on my aebs manifold there aer like 6/7 nipples, which on the stock one there are like 3..
its just on the aebs one they give you the nipples where you can hook up the nos and extras i guess? ha
but half the nipples are pluged with some hose caps i got from autozone
The hoses all do go to the same place too, which was one of my questions before, so it didnt really matter if they were exact
