Brake Bleeding Advice and Help
I'm gonna tackle the first brake fluid change this car has ever seen in 200,000miles and need some tips.
It's my 1994 Accord LX with rear disc brakes.
Also, is there another fluid to change to for better performance? or is it like alot of honda items, where stock is good enough...
Thanks

have a hand vaccum pump, it is alot easier. also, i know a company, i cant remember the brand, but someone makes blue colored brake fluid, that way you can easily tell when you have flushed all old fluid out of the lines. as far as tips you probably already know but, start at farthest wheel away from the master cylinder, ie: rr, lr, rf, lf. on the topic of brake fluid, i would say they are all about the same, i use the prestone stuff from autozone and it works fine for me.
What's better performance? Do you race? DOT4 has higher boiling points than DOT3. ATE Blue fluid has even higher boiling points, but it absorbs moisture faster so you gotta flush it more often. There's others out there, but under normal driving you aren't gonna tell the difference. Not unless your brakes get hot enough to boil the fluid.
