car: 1990 civic dx hb-no mods

car has sat for a few months. just won't start. changed dizzy cause it had little to no spark-still nothing. fuel pump used to prime but it doesn't anymore. throwing codes 16 and 18 last time i checked. main relay maybe? any ideas helpful. i already checked all grounds and the usual(air, spark, fuel) it seems to ne more than one prob so that's why i think it may be the main. any help really appreciated. thanks

 

16 is a fuel injector i dont see a code for 18

 

first thing...make sure ur battery has enough juice in it..if it sat for months then maybe the battery drained

actually i think it's code 14-my bad. my friend has the car at his house and it's been over a week since we messed with it. i forgot and he's not too sure. but i think it's code 14

 

code 14 is electronic air control

no it is eacv not a iacv i am looking at my guide for info it is on the back of the manifold

 

replace your main relay it sounds like it has gone bad. mine did the same thing i replaced the relay and it started right up.

its the same thing, people call it different things.

First off, if your fuel pump is not priming it more then likely is your fuel pump or main relay but but.... listen ... ok listening.... ( its about code 16 ) If you ever have a problem and your car will just crank ( won't turn over ), you sometimes will automatically throw a code 16, even though nothing is wrong with the fuel.

 

ok, it cranks just won't turn over. if you have ever compression checked your car that's what it sounds like. the main relay looks good, haven't tested it yet. i know the codes was 14 and 16 for sure, any more ideas?
