Default best B Series tranny?

Hey guys, whats the best B-Series tranny? Im looking for drag specs, and dont tell me the Type-R Integra tranny, thats too much. I want something with an LSD already in it, strong enough, and good enough gearing for the 1/4 mile. Thanks in advance.

I coulda swore that GSR (SIR-G) came with LSD. My friends old GSR supposedly did, but it wasnt ITR. Also, how much do ITR trannies usually run for?

Which B16 tranny? are they all the same?

all b16 hydro are pretty much the same, and b16 is just like a ITR without LSD.

ITR---tranny should be around-$1000-up

The JDM ITR 4.785 Final Drive Transmission is by far the best for performance

try all the swap shops for starters.

And no, you won't need anything special, just swap it and call it a day.

B16 + Quaife LSD, but if you do a lot of freeway driving GSR + Quaife LSD.

Like whats the difference in a B16 with a quaife, compared to a GSR with a quaife. Why would it matter about slowing down?

Ok, i see alot of people saying the ITR tranny is the only one with lsd, but all the shops say something about adding an lsd for $250 or something like that. now what LSD coems with that? is it oem? or is something aftermarket? Also, then how does that option compare with the ITR tranny and its LSD?

B16 has shorter gearing than the GSR. Shorter gears make you accelerate faster, but your rpms will be really high on the freeway.

I am guessing they are talking about an OEM lsd if it's only $250. Hondas OEM lsd's are better than no lsd I guess, but if your turbo and making a lot of power it won't hold. If you go to the track a lot and launch high on slicks I would just save up for a quiafe lsd. Or maybe try out one of those OBX lsd's.

dude...LSD is Limited Slip Differential....its means when you have LSD the power is put down on both the front wheels equaly and they BOTH spin....if you dont have LSD only one tire with the less friction is going to spin and not the other tire...You can ad LSD to pretty much any tranny...... hopes that helps a lil bit

Thanks, i knew msot of that. Ok, ill buy a tranny without LSD, to save money, so i can add a stronger one later. So now all im worried about is the gearing and strength of the tranny. The b16 tranny has better gearing for the 1/4 mile than the gsr tranny? Thanks!
