Reinstallation of tranny to motor
Help -
I'm trying to bolt the tranny back to the motor & I don't want to force it on....
?Should it slide onto the male pegs on the motor when the splines match or do you have to tighten your bolts to get them to match up {similar to pressure plate and flywheel}??
all help appreciated!

wiggle wiggle, shake shake...you'll know if you ahve the input shaft aligned right.. if you can thread the bolts, you're pretty much there anyway...

Get the trans input shaft into the clutch disc, and get it as far as you can,
then thread in 4 bolts and work each one litle by little. It'll go on.

I start w/ 2 bolts.
Start the lower one by the header and the back one by the starter.
Tighten them, alternating each one. It'll suck the trans case in.
Then put the other ones in once it's all tight.

Thanks for the advice guys. Budman and I got the tranny back up in place. It took some cussing, some heavy lifting, and some more cussing before we were able to horse the tranny back in place to where we could get all the bolts threaded in.
As we torqued the bolts up, the tranny sure was sucked back to the engine block.
