I recently attempted to order a Skunk2 exhaust system. The guy on the phone wanted me to "upgrade" to an invidia system, claiming it was made so much better. I am curious if this claim is true.

 

I have heard that Invidia have superb welds on them. My dad just ordered a kit for his mini S. Oh, and I thought that Invidia replaced Skunk2 in the exhaust department. Anyone else care to chime in?

 

Hmm thats weird seeing as the skunk 2 EF/crx exhaust only came out months ago you would think they would want to push it

 

From my personal observations. The skunk2 I see looks nothing like the invidia. The invidia goes through the stock mounting points and hangs really low. The skunk2 is supposed to go straight to the driver's side rear without curving to the passenger's side like the invidia. Just my 2cents.

 

Skunk2 Exhausts sound really mean, but I have heard nothing but good things about the Invidia Exhaust. BTW Does anyone happen to have an Invidia Exhaust Sound clip off of an 88-91 Civic EF/CRX?

 

Ive got an invidia cat back on my 91 crx si, along with an ebay header and OBX cat. With the silencer in, the exhaust is very quiet, has a great deep tone to it. Without the silencer, its a bit louder, but still not ricey loud. Plus it never has that buzzy noise to it like most exhausts do around 3000 rpm. All in all, I really really like mine, quality looks superb, welds are beautiful. I bought mine from raceinspired int eh sponsors classifieds forum. Good price too.
