Default 1992 Civic Ex....any comments?

I might be getting a 92 civic ex soon and would like to hear what people have to say about it. This will be my first honda (car anyway). A buddy of mine has one he's going to trade me for my dodge shadow. The civic is in perfect shape but the timing belt/chain went so I gotta get that fixed but it has a sweet intake system installed, brand new full exhuast, it's lowered, and come with a set of 17 or 18in mag rims. The car has 157 thousand miles on it too. What do you think of the trade? And what do you think of the 92 in general? Hows it's power, handling, ect, ect. Anyway, sorry for the long post! Diana

Id be really skeptical about the fact that the timing belt snapped. You should have him take the car to a shop and replace the belt, along with any other problems, such as possible bent valves, then complete the trade.

If he's trading it to you as is, I would decline.

yeah, id keep the shadow. the "sweet intkae system", exhuast and drop prob arent worth more than $400. the mileage is high and if the timing belt broke off while driving, the engine is most likely fucked. he's trying to rip you a new one so tell him he's a bastards

Well, I set some conditions while we were talking about it. I'm having my mechanic come look it over in detail tomorrow to make sure thats all thats wrong with it and whatnot but even broken it's worth more than my shadow
