ECU Question...
I have a 1996 lx accord i swapped a 93 h22a in it...heres my quesstion. Im trying to get it started but i have no spark...im almost 100% the wiring is correct so i think it might be a problem with the distributor...anyway when i have the H22A ECU plugged in (i have a boomslang OBDII-OBDI conversion harness) the check engine light stays on. I decided to try the accord ECU and the check engine light does not stay on. Is it true that if i had the wiring wrong i would throw a check engine light immediately. Because i have another distributor here and im afraid to try it because if the wiring is wrong i dont know if i would mess up the distributor. so does anyone one know if the CEL would be on if the wiring was wrong and if it is wrong will it mess up my distributor. Thanks in advance!
are you using the internal or external coil distributor...in my 96 lx, i'm using an external coil distributor...i could not get the internal coil distributor to work...there was some rewiring we had to do on it as well...i don't quite remember the details, but if you have questions about it i'm sure i could go look...
Do you remember how you wired it...ive been told and read that you connect the black/yellow with the yellow and leave the green alone...thats for the 3 wires that use to go to the external coil? just wondering if you remember
i would honestly have to recheck...i've done so much wiring in my car now that i really don't remember which colors were even in the distributor...let me get back to you when i find out...
