FS: H22 del Sol with mild NA built motor (Orlando, FL area)
Well, I've decided that it's time for me to part with this car. It's been a fun project and I'm definitely not happy about having to do this, but I just need something a bit more practical as my daily driver right now. Anyways, the car is a black 1995 del Sol with an H22 swap. The swap was done by the people at All Version Motoring and Orlando Honda/Acura Specialists, All Version did the buildup of the motor as well. Here is a basic rundown of the car.
- 120,000 on the chassis. Body and interior are in decent shape.
- Roughly 45k on the H22 itself. Maybe 3k on the new internals.
- As I said, the body and interior are in decent shape. The car could use a respray in the near future, but I wasn't too concerned since it looks OK to me. No rust issues as this has been a FL car, one previous owner.
- No power steering, no AC, that's just the way it has to be with the H22 in there unless you want to go through all kinds of trouble to make it work.
- No wrecks, clean title. I will furnish the VIN number to anyone seriously interested in the car.
I would post pics of the car, but I don't have any on hand and my digital camera is broken. If I get good interest in this thread, I will find a way to post pics if necessary. But right now, I'm just trying to find out if there is any interest out there for the car. I know I am going to get a bunch of questions on the buildup of the car, so here goes:
- JDM H22 Type-S pistons (11:1 compression)
- Skunk 2 Stage II cams, high compression valves, retainers and valve springs.
- DC Sports header
- Skunk2 Intake Manifold
- AEM CAI
- 2.5" exhaust from the header back (very loud, but I like it)
- Custom ECU program tuned for the mods on the engine, made for the Skunk 2 Stage II cams and bumped compression. Runs a bit rich, but very smooth.
Other stuff of interest on the car:
- Custom axles
- 15" Rota Circuit 8's in gunmetal
- Custom short shifter
- I'm going to give the new buyer all of the stock parts that I have/kept. I have no use for them anymore and the del Sol has plenty of trunk room, so it's all good.
- There's probably more that I'm forgetting here.
Anyways, that is the basic rundown of the car. I have had a couple small problems with the H22, but nothing major and everything has been very smooth for the most part. The one issue I had with the buildup was the ECU program acting up for a while, but I have that issue taken care of and as a result, the car is running a whole lot better. I realize that I'll never get the money back that I put into this car, but I'm not going to give it away and I'm sure not going to take lowball offers LOL. Also, let me just go on the record to state that I'm not interested in trades unless you have a 96-00 relatively stock coupe with a 5 speed and MAYBE some cash to add, depending on the condition. I'm not sure what those go for nowadays.
I'm asking $6,000 for the car right now. Reasonable offers will be considered however.
