Default Which Master Cyclinder & Brake Booster?

I have a 94 Civic DX and recently swapped over to GSR suspension (front and back). I already have a 40/40 Prop Valve. Which Master Cycylinder and Brake Booster do I need? I thought I was suppose to get a 94 RS MC and BB, but my friend said to get it from a 99..

If you want really good stopping power, get the 1" MC from the ITR, you will also need the BB from it as well.

Or you could use the MC and BB from any 94-01 Integra.

If you buy the 15/16" Master cylinder from a 91 civic EX 4 door, it will bolt directly onto your stock brake booster & brake lines. All the integra 1" models need the integra booster, and require you to bend, cut & reflare your brake lines...

A one inch MC is really only needed for ABS anyways...

I thought if you had a prop valve from an RS, you could use the mc and bb from an LS teg and you wouldn't have to reflare or cut lines. I thought it was a direct bolt on. This isn't the case?

The proportioning valve doesn't have anything to do with the master cylinder. All it does is limit the line pressure to the rear brakes under hard braking. The proportioning valves are identicle for non ABS 92-95 civic and NON ABS 94+ integras (with just different internal valving), so the brake line thing doen't work. Besides, when you buy a prop valve, they don't come with the lines anyways. Also, the need to reflare of the brake lines is due to the ABS system (1" MC is from ABS car) needing a larger fluid line. Your suggestion means that you would need a prop valve from an ABS car. But since ABS prop valves only have 4 ports (NON ABS has 6), and their lines are connected to the ABS system, and not the MC, they are completely incompatable.

If you want a 1" you must cut, bend, flare, and get the matching brake booster.
If you want a 15/16" you just plug & play.

This picture shows an integras ABS brake lines, while in the lower corner, it shows the NON ABS brake lines (front only). If you look closely you can trace the lines from the master cylinder & see what I'm talking about. The NON ABS prop vlave is #6, and the ABS prop valve is #38...

i was using the stock 13/16" MC with integ 4 wheels discs. i had to push the pedal near the floor to get the car to stop. it was pretty scary. i upgraded to the 91 EX 15/16 MC, mated to the stock booster. pedal travel is now normal and my paint peels off when i slam on my brakes

**edit
the 15/16 MC was around $65 with exchanged (remanufactured piece with warranty)

If you go with the 15/16" MC from an RS you will need to get a 94+ NON-ABS integra booster. It will bolt right on with no need to bend or reflare lines. I did it in my car and the braking is

My pedal is right up to the top but my buddy with the same brake swap has a spongy pedal.
