Default Is It Possible to Swap in ANY Car Engine

hey guys, i'm really new to civics and car modification but someone i know just told me that it is more or less possible to put any engine in a civic. is this true? i mean, say i had a 5 litre ford mustang engine could i put this into a honda civic?

No, it isn't possible. I've researched it.

And why would you want to put a 225hp V8 in there?

Should ask about an LS1 LoL

Okay so just a few things.

Exhaust and Driveshaft tunnel must be enlarged
Rear suspension needs to be customized
Gas tank relocated to allow for the rear differential
Firewall modified and pushed back (greatly reduces interior room)
Shifter will be further back unless a custom one is made

yes it is possible to put any engine in any car.
we had a 92 mustang and an 87 buick GN engine and we put them together.

all it takes is a torch, time, and $$$!

Blah, I've never been a fan of the 5.0 Except for one factor, aftermarket support.

&lt;---DOHC 4.6L or go home IMO.

Simple, look into how the Pro Imports make their RWD tube frames, you'll end up doing as much work, if not more.

I've actually seen an EVO engine, tranny and suspension on a hatch. It was AWD and everything. Anything is possible with money, however the most economical swaps for honda's would be other honda engines.

i didn't know that the engine manufacturer had to be the same as that of the car. you learn something knew every day...well i've just learnt about 5 things

Ex. No truck engines in cars, etc.
