89 civic dx coupe tranny change
a friend of mine wants me to change her busted automatic tranny out of her 89 civic dx coupe with a rebuilt one. i've never swapped a tranny out before nonetheless an automatic. is it very difficult? the car has been sitting around in her garage for a year now and she really isn't in a hurry to get it fixed. but she doesnt wanna pay the 1k that aamco quoted her. i know i should have her pickup a haynes or chilton manual for sure. any advice would be appreciated. thanks.
good luck if you have never done a tranny before your in for a real good time. its not hard its just like everything else it takes time. but a $1,000 isnt bad if that incl. trannyand labor. just remember use the right tool dont work harder but smarter.

Wayy back from the dead..but this is the only post about ef coupes I could find..Is there any such thing? I never heard about this until like 2 days ago, never saw one. Anyone got any pics?
Nope, they never made a 88-91 coupe. There was only the crx, hatchback, sedan, and wagon. By coupe I am assuming he means hatch but I could be wrong.
