Quick Q about tranny internals????
Ok, I bought a 90/91 LS tranny about 2 weeks ago and I noticed last night that the 2 final gears on the main and counter shaft gears aren’t meshed together. There’s a ¼ inch gap between them, I also noticed that all the other gears are meshed except the 2 final gears.
What are the possibilities that the someone swapped out the last final (5th) gears prior to selling me the tranny? Or is it normal that the 2 final gears aren’t suppose to be meshed?
