Crx Si Starting problem
I dont really drive my car that much. But when i start it some times it wont start the first time.I will turn the ignition over and it sounds like any other car trying too start. Then i have too remove the key and try it again and it fires up first time. Also if i run the car a little then start it up it works fine.My engines instructor said it could be a cold start injector or bad fuel pump...Anyone have a similar problem?

It could also be that the fuel pressure is bleeding off at the pump..
One mistake alot of people make is to shove the key in and instantly
try to start the car...
I always turn on the key and allow the system to prime
before starting to crank it over..
Once the system primes, the "check-engine" light will go off
and it will usually fire right up..

If you have the factory fuel pump still it probably is not the problem.
Do you know for sure that the fuel pump is priming, do you hear it running when you turn the key?

Very common problem with 2 dealer documented possible causes.
1. Turning your key to start the car all the way causes the contact at maximum twist to wear out. The starter turns but the ecu signal is lost. Common on pre '96 civics, and older preludes. Try turning the key just far enough to engage the starter, but not all the way till the key stops.
2. Main relay, almost always the problem. turning the key off and on seems to get the car running, but eventually that will quit working. Replace the relay located under your dash just above the hood release (civic/crx)
Hope this helps, your fuel pump is more than likely fine.
