car stalls on first start up

Default car stalls on first start up

i was changing my oil last night got that done and when i went to start it up it stalled the secong it started. it is turning over good but when it first starts up it just dies. then on the second time it starts and runs fine. i havent had any other problems like this. last week i had to bring in my battery to get the terminals cleaned. and we are changing the battery cable connector tommorow. the alternator is working fine. i dont know what it is any help please.

if your car starts but isnt getting enough air it will die....
there is a screw on your throttle body..

idle is fine. once it starts on the second try it idles fine.

how bout letting the fuel pump prime, like leave it for like 3 seconds then turn the car on... just a thought.

check timing.... my car used to do that we had to advance the timing a lil and then mess with the idle

You know, I had the same problem a few weeks ago. It happened 3 different times I believe. It would start and shut off really quick. Once it did it twice in a row. My dad is pretty good with cars and he mentioned that it might be somekind of electrical glitch or short. Not sure. It hasn't done it for a few weeks now.

low on gas maybe? honda are notorious for hard starts when low on gas....

did you check anything yet?? ... or did your car stop doing it?

well the last couple days it hasnt been doing it it wasnt low on gas. and i have never once touched the timing. so i figure the timing should be at stock specs. i am changing the battery cables tonight. i will see how it goes tonight. but then again it hast done it for a day or 2 now so.
