K24.

The Accord or the TSX.. but the TSX tranny isn't compatible w/ the hasport mounts on the market, I think they're making one for the TSX tranny.

The CRV k24 doesn't come w/ the vtec head like the k20/k24 (accord/tsx) does.

the TSX is best, it makes more power

accord, crv, element, all rated for the same power, but element/crv have less emissions bullshit to deal with.

get the k24 out of a euro R if you can, and then use a CRV manual transmission (yes awd) and somehow figure out how to import the rear end of one of the new accord wagons (the awd ones) and bolt it all up...that'd be the best setup, imo...but realistically, just use one of the k24 bottom ends, get new high compression pistons, and then bolt up the k20 head...

this whole setup would be ridiculously expensive. but the outcome would be awesome.

finding all the parts would be the biggest problem, but theoretically it should all bolt right up...if anyone wants to give it a whirl, they'd have one hell of a car on their hands...

*also, if you think about it, honda could easily build an awd sports sedan to compete with the evo and sti...both the tsx and accord have awd models available in japan (both on wagons) and honda also makes a turbo diesel accord...all they'd really have to do is take the turbo setup off the diesel motor, bolt it to a k24 or k20, and employ their awd system to either of these cars, put some nicer tires/suspension on the car, and sell it as a performance model...easy income for honda with parts they've already made...
