Default How hard to change A B S to reg Brakes??

I just removed the abs system in my 95 Integra so I can get ready to paint the engine bay. I just wanted to know how difficult it would be to change the brake system over to regular braking and what would I have to purchase that I dont have already. and how easy or difficult it would be. antone with info. let me know please... thanks

well i have done this on a 93/94? gsr integra. I pulled the ABS fuse and had no problems. I have herd from different people that the proportioning valve is different from abs car than from non-abs cars. Both cars I have taken out the abs fuse and both cars are still driving fine to this day. From what I have noticed was on the rear disk brake assembly itself there were gears/teeth on the brake/spindle assembly similar to the gears/teeth on the hubs of the front axles. Thats how abs works. If you can just find a 95 teg with non-abs and install that master cylinder and proportioning valve on your car and things should be fine. Best of luck, let us know

take all the abs stuff out, look at where the lines are supposed to go.
get a non abs proportioning valve. tubing, bender and flaring tool

i have done this swap before. not too difficult but takes time to do it. you nrrd to pull out the abs pumb fuse box and lines connecting to it. there is a connecting block on the fire wall that has 2 lines in and 2 lines out. un bolt this and take it out. install a prop valve from a non abs teg or a 92-95 civic si. when you out this in place you will see that 2 lines already on the firewall screw right in. these are for the rear brakes. now with it all bolted up you will have 4 open lines on the prop valve. if you removed all the lines you were supposed to you will not have any lines on the firewall that will screw in to this. 2 of the lines will run to the mc and the other 2 will run 2 each front wheel. the eaisest thein to do is use the lines from a 92-95 civic or non abs teg. if you dont have access to this you can fab al the lines yourself but it will take a long time. i have done this on my 97 teg.let me know and i can send som pics.

Yeah if you can send dome pics that would be great. I have all the lines out already except for the ones that go to the rear of the car. so all I would need then is the lines that go from the mc to the p.v. and from the p.v. to the front tires from a non abs teg??? let me know and if you can I would appreciate the pics you have. you can e-mail me at dcarlson01@msn.com if you would like to.

I removed everything except any lines that go to the rear. you said I should only have 2 but there are 4. so what didnt I do??? let me know please
