pioneer deh p8500mp vs alpine cda 9831
get the alpine....better signal to noise ratio
well, to go into more detail, you have to ask yourself a question...
Am I going to build a full system with amps for ALL speakers? Or am I going to let the deck drive the speakers?
The alpine is a better choice for the full system....yes it's low powered (~20Wx4 RMS 60x4 peak), but the signal to noise ratio is way better, the rca outputs are high voltage, and its got a lot of nice sound tuning features for use with amps. The pioneer, while it has slightly more power RMS, has a worse signal to noise ratio and the RCAs aren't a high quality. Plus the 8500MP has had numerous problems with line noise when used with higher power amplifiers...
In the end, I'd go with the alpine, but thats just my opinion.
