Default B18(?) Hood...!?!?

Ok, so I saw this hood once or twice around here. I have a 91 civ hatch, and I'm trying to find this because I want to stay away from rice, and stay away from cutting up the hood and such. The hood looks like OEM, except the USDM hood sinks in. The one I'm lookin' for looks EXACTLY the same except that it pops OUT instead of IN. Anyone know where I can find this or any info on this hood? From what I understand I'll need more clearance to put in my LSVTEC engine when it's complete. Not to mention the fact that I'd like to change the look of the USDM OEM hood anyways cuz i think it's ugly Anyways, I thought I saw it called the "B18" hood or somethin' like. Please, anyone, help me find this hoood...

If you get the SIR hood you will have to get the headlights to match. Also may wanna get the filler piece( between headlights and bumper ). Your located in georgia, you may wanna hit up jarco or jhot as they are both located in georgia. Actually jarco is in norcross i believe and jhot is a little bit north.

just so u know, u can't just buy the hood and bolt it on
you'll need the rad support at the very least
then the headlights and bumper or it'll look gay

I HAVE seen someone that made an SiR "style" hood before though, either fiber glass or cf
it bolts up like a usdm hood but bumps up instead

Yes, and that is the only one that I have heard of as well. And its only in carbon fiber.

^^^ There are not a lot of pics of it around. They do exist, i've brought a few in for customers running B18C's and they fit "perfect" on the usdm front end. VIS body kits aren't all that great, but their hoods are amazing quality and fit.

Fiber Images sells a carbon Si-R hood for USDM front ends. thats what i have. Check them out. They also actually weigh significantly less than the OEM hoods to. MY hood weighd 14lbs less and coupled that with 26lbs lbs i saved from removing the front reinforcement bar was 40 lbs of the fron end alone. Then i took the rear reinforcement bar out as well.

Guys i am not driving like this tho, i am in the process of fabbing some aluminum ones.

if you just want to clear the motor- and trimming the under skin on the hood you have still won't clear the motor- the si-r style for the udsm front is the easiest way out.

i believe user name cheetah is still selling one also at a very reasonable price (fiber images cf for usdm front) in nj if you are interested. good guy, and i held the hood when i bought the crx it was on, so i know it is in perfect shape. even has the latch i'm missing still on it. tell him greg from nyc with his old rex sent you.

the jdm sir front end will need bumper, lights, and hood, and the filler piece if you drive a model that has one between the hood and bumper(my crx doesnt have one). the jdm ratiator support (just the T-piece and connectors) is ideal, but the us one can be shimmed if you dont have it. and the nice thin/light jdm bumper support is nice too. fenders have sidemarkers but are same otherwise- buy new ones complete, or just get side markers and drill holes. or forget about the side markers cause your old fenders fit just fine. you can buy the whole conversion from passwordjdm.com, or from steve @ hmotorsonline.com, amongst others.

I'll probably stick to USDM. Any idea how much Cheetah's asking? The other one I saw in this thread I looked up, and no shipping (I don't think...pending). Or do you we know of the actual title of the VIS hood? Cuz I saw two with "JDM SIR" in it. And then the other site I read in the "hood for sale" link above was 500+ship. I KNOW I can beat that...
