OBD1 ZC for 92-95 EG is same as OBD0 ZC for 88-91, except it has Cylinder Position Sensor in the distributor (not on exhaust camshaft), has MAP sensor on throttle body and has front (timing belt end) mount same as EG - bolts right in to EG and connects right up with no wiring changes - uses P29 ECU

Great timing. I am replacing a blown 88-91 DOHC ZC with a 92-95 DOHC ZC from hmo. Here's what I have found out (from direct experience, thezcr.com, and from googling)

What Jlicrx said so far, plus a couple more differences...

1. The thermosensor has moved from the back of the block to the thermostat housing. If you want, you can just remove the filler bolt in the back and screw in a thermosensor instead (at the usual spot)

2. Driver-side mount plates are different. You'll need to get the obd0 mount plate

Lastly, and this one is something I read on thezcr.com. I can't speak from experience.
--> obd1 injectors will not plug into obd0 harness

Btw, is "jlicrx" Ji Li from the old-school boards?

1. true, cooling fan switch is on thermostat housing, same as on his hatch.

2. hatchbackjdm is putting 2d gen ZC into EG hatch - he doesn't need to worry about mounts or wiring

3. no, jlicrx is not Ji Li
