Please help the uneducated!!! I guess they modifed some of the classes for the 2002 season
sorry fellas, i just keep forgetting. Please help me figure out what class I could be in.
00 Civic Si
i/h/e
stock cat
stock wheels with 205/50R15 RE730s
ITR Springs w/ Stock shocks (sway bars are stock 26mm front/ 13mm Rear)
full interior
If i were to install a 22mm rear sway bar, would that change my classification? I would perfer a 19mm adjustable bar instead, because my car seems to rotate just enough with the ITR springs.
one last thing....if my car were bone stock, which class does the Si belong to now?
Thanks for helping out the forgetful

STS or DSP
edit: in stock class it's ES i think. The swaybar is allowed in both STS and DSP

What's DSP? Never heard of it....
BTW...what is allowed in STS when it comes to brakes? I has looking into installing some SS brakelines w/Motul fluid. Just have to decided on pads that will work great on the street and the auto-x course.

SS brakelines are allowed in STS, so there's no problem with doing that one.

Not that I doubt you, Chris, but I would have bet $$ that it was OK in SP classes that the back seat could come out. I'll have to take your word for it given that that's where you compete. I need to go re-read the rule book
Sorry for posting the wrong info.

yep, sp cars must run full interior.....
*unless* the car is prepped to IT specs, and it must run as prepped for IT. However, there are other limitations in IT that would make the car less competitive for SP autoX.

So, where did I read that? Is it legal in SM or some other place?

Better to go with STS and you can keep all your mods, and add other things.

Well then, it's official, I'm a bonehead
Back seat doesn't weigh much anyway. I have pulled mine out for track days, and the whole thing couldn't weigh more than 15 lbs....and that is being generous.
For STS:
intake
catback exhaust
headers
suspension which attaches to OEM points
Polyurethane bushings
sway bars
strut bars
wheels up to 7.5" wide
tires up to 225 wide and 140 minimum tread wear
short shifters
must have stock interior
front seats have to recline
removal of A/C and powersteering allowed
Spark plugs
Spark plug wires
Aftermarket pulleys
body kits
brake pads
brake rotors OEM sized
stainless steel brake lines
piggy back ECUs are legal
NO IGNITION AMPLIFIERS
NO AFTERMARKET LSD unless on excursion list (Sentra SER, 2.5RS)
CARBON FIBER PIECES ARE ILLEGAL
CAMS, CAMSHAFT OR ANY INTERNAL ENGINE WORK IS ILLEGAL
Forced induction is legal if you are on the excursion list (Audi/VW 1.8T FWD, Mazda 323 GTX (turbo AWD))
I missed some things but you get the gist.

Isn't the removal of A/C only allowed if it was optional on the vehicle? IE, I could remove the A/C on my Integra RS b/c it was an option, but A/C could not be removed from a GS-R b/c it is part of the trim level package?
Hmm... Interesting to know that with 10lbs. wheels and dumped A/C, that would've put my Integra at 2360 pounds. Not bad for full interior otherwise.
