Redline setting for Toda spec B
I'm going to get my ECU reprogrammed on a dyno next spring and I would like to prepare a series of guidelines for the tuner who is going to help me. My question for those who have tune ITR with Toda spec B is what is the optimal setting for the redline. I have Toda springs and titanium valve retainers on.
I have heard that the springs are good for up to 10000rpm but that is behond my confort zone.
I have also heard that it is useless to go over 9000 rpm because the camshaft do not make power anymore, but if the power at over 9000 rpm is higher then the power at 6000 rpm (after you changed gears) then it is profitable to go at 9500 rpm. Hopefully my question is not to vague.
If possible give a small explanation with your answer, I'm the curious type
Thank you

Just letting you know that Honda tech is off at high rpm.
what we are seeing its actually higher than the ECU reads..

The way it sounded might cause a controversy around here...je je
Edit: Nevermind

My redline is at 9400RPM...my power begins to drop at about 8800-9000RPM. I usually rev to this high at the end of second to land at a higher RPM during the 2nd-3rd gear shift.
