HKS sport exh. replacement muffler options
I of course want it to be a "high flow" one and it needs to have a 2 inch center inlet with 1.5 inch dual outlet. Oval style muffler is what i want too, no round ones. I've looked in the Summit and Jeg's catalogs and all i can find is bigger inlets and outlets, nothing with the sizes i need. Can anyone help me out?

What do u mean? Have an entire muffler pre-made to my specs?

Yea i know, ive been all over their site...thanks anyway
I have access to an original Si mufffler and im pretty sure its the closest match, but i dont think its the best option due to age and flow characteristics. I mean its still a clean muffler but ive heard modded motors combined with original mufflers and it sounds shitty.

Magnaflow's mufflers are a lot taller than stock and so it hangs low. plus it sounds funny on a EF.
DynoMax has a bunch of mufflers that have similar specs to OEM. just a tiny bit shorter, if i remember correctly. and if you go for their UltraFlo version, its a straight through design. great for flow.
thats what i had before my current setup. check out the dimensions of their UltraFlo line on their site. might have to extend some piping for that long hks muff tho... hth.

A few cracks along the body of it, no biggy, but the real damage is on the inlet side. The end tank (correct term?) cracked around the weld (not actually @ the weld) in a nasty way, all jagged and ****. The insides are coming out too b/c of that. It was on a car that was missing a hanger or two and it stressed it too much

you do know that the HKS by design is a chambered muffler? any muffler that has a reducing inlet outlet generally is a chambered muffler.
go Wes route, have a 2-to-dual 1.5 splitter made. steathly and still get the "free flow"

Just get a Scorpion like I did! Full stainless, straigh through design, 2" inlet. Looks way better than an HKS imo...
HKS tips are very distinct, which is why i want them. What i have i got for free, so im tryin to work with it. BTW, i already have a bling muffler (greddy SP1) and i want a nice flat back one now, just to change it up. thanks anyway tho.
Yes, so many "wants" in the car world...its quite depressing really. ahaha j/p. im thinkin of finding a stock DA muffler. Stock SI muffler wont have a large enough inlet i dont think.

neither would a DA muffler, really consider a one in, one out muffler.
and a splitter, noone but you would know about it. or shell out money for another "performance" HKS system.

Thats the problem, I would know about it
. I guess you have to meet me to understand me. Whats the stock piping size for the DA?
