Default Quick question about the fiberglass tonneau cover...

Well a friend of mine has the Veilside tonneau, and he is giving it to us for the time being because he just sold his S2000 and is about to go overseas for about 2 years (military duty and then stationed for one year in Korea)...so my question is this, we NEVER use our leather top cover that came with the car, but he had a black 2003 model...

- Will this fit on the 2004+?
- Does it require an install kit or does it snap down into place?

...im asking this ahead of time so that when i get it i can ask him if he has the install stuff off his S2000 before he sold it, and if he doesnt, what do you think im looking at cost wise for the install kit? Thanks in advance, i searched for this but didnt find anything other than a thread with pictures...he tried to sell it but he's leaving in a few days and just doesnt have time and has no family he wants to trust it with, plus, he's an awesome guy. In all seriousness i have only seen this thing on his black S2000 which had a kit on it and was not my cup o' tea at all, and im not even sure i will use it yet because it does stand out ALOT and might look silly with the stock body lines (and the fact that its black) but i was just curious about fitment and installation for future reference.

It should fit the 04 fine, since the hardtops are the same. So, that shows no change there.

For the mounting, I think they have some straps or something and connect similar to the stock cover. That's just the one that I saw installed.

It attaches very easily. You flip up these little covers that are in place behind heach door sill area (with the top down) and it reveals a hidden screw. Take the screw out, put the cover on and put the screw back in through the top. It is the same setup on both sides. It can be done in 5 minutes with 1 person.

Cool, thanks for the feedback. We got it yesterday and i set it on there just to see what it looked like, its black and didnt look great with the red so unless we get it painted i doubt we'll use it...but we may eventually get it painted, got some other things to do first. Pretty light given its size...

I've seen a black hardtop on a red. Got any pics? It can't be that much to paint.... Did you see what I meant by the tabs/screws?
