How was the performance.

I used the Panther Plus for a track day this past weekend on my S2K and they worked great. They are probably too noisy and dusty for street use, but awesome at a track!

I had no issues with them as far as noise. As far as dust, they were no worse than the Axxis Ultimates or Hawk HP+ pads I have used in the past.

when you say noise what do you mean... squiling? or what.. and does it do it all the time? or just when there cold.

Yes, I meant the high-pitched squealing when the brakes are cold. Of course, driving around town would almost never get them up to temp. so the noise was getting to me. I took them off today and put my Hawk HPS/OEM pad combo back on.

they do not compare to the vr's.
they 'might' be a close match to the gt-s's

yes i was looking for a direct comparision of the Panther +s to the Gt-sports.

yea any pad with this coefficient will make some noise on light pedal pressure. in fact, I like hearing it. tells me my car is stopping fast
I've used the Panther Plus for track days as well and had great results. I was worried about the squealing b/c I left them on the car with occasional street use, but had no problems with that at all.
I used the panther pluses on a 2003.5 Mazdaspeed Protege for about 6,000 miles (until I sold the car). They were good all around pads. They handled track use well, had a little too much initial bite for auto-x for my taste (when they heated up), and were fun on the street. They dusted similar to axis ultimates.
I would highly recommend these pads and had a good experience working with Matt.

They worked great for me at the track and I even left them on for daily use..great pads
I wouldn't compare them to VR's but I think they are better than the GT's

For those who used the Panther Plus before, what did you think of the dust levels?
I totally understand the consequences of having a brake pad w/ higher coefficient of friction. Excellent braking characteristics at the expense of low temp. squealing and more brake dust. I'm sure some users can get used to using them everyday but I just couldn't.
Mine will be saved for track days.

as far as the braking goes, how would you compare the hp+ vs. the ultimates vs. the panthers?
