Default How important is it to use new gaskets during reassembly.

Honda reccommends replacing all gaskets when replacing things such as the intake manifold, head, etc..

I was wondering how important it is to replace with new gaskets if the gaskets look okay?

How much do gaskets run for a d series intake mani, head gasket, exhaust mani.

it is i think an absolute neccesity to replace them because usually during removal the gasket gets torn or rip.

head gasket kit includes--exhaust manifold gasket, valve cover gasket, head gasket, and pretty sure the intake manifold gasket. kit costs around $150-200

Some gaskets are NOT mandatory to replace, if they are fairly new and in good condition.

But when it comes to cylinder head gasket, intake manifold, and other important parts, DEFINITELY replace them.

If the gasket looks good to me, i normally wouldent replace, a head gasket i propably would just because its a pain to get off again but intake and exhaust of it leaks its not that hard at all to replace them so why spend the money if you dont have to? be your own judge a lot of ppl will tell you to replace when you actually dont have to. Its a GOOD practice to replace them i agrea but often unneccisary imo.........

if your intake gasket came off in one piece thats about the only time i MAY re use it. but in the case of a cylinder head gasket, it has ridges that are designed to be crushed for sealing and WILL NEVER re use a head gasket for that reason.
