When I'm driving Teg and I have the heat on everything is fine and i dont smell anything. But if i'm at a light or the car is just stopped and at idle and i have the heat on, i smell exhaust fumes or somthing like that and it make me nausious. And that kinda makes it harder to chill in a car with a female if all she smells is exahust fumes.
Whats goin with that. I dont ever remeber smelling that stuff when i had my AC on over the summer.
Help me out guys.
Plus i have my niece in the car sometimes so i cant have that smell.

 

What do the fumes smell like? What are your mods?

 

Does it go away if you switch from fresh air to recirculating? Then the air isn't coming into your car. That usually works for me if something smells outside, like if I just cleaned my engine bay and **** is burning off.

 

The car is stock, no mods.

 

I havent tried to put it in circulatory mode. That fogs up the windows.
Maybe i'll try to wash the engine or somthing.
But any ideas why i smell exhaust or car fume coming from the vents.

Remember, I only smell it when i'm at idle and standing still, when i'm driving i dont smell anything.

 

maybe you have an exhaust leak. i used to get fumes in my car when i had one. it would make my eyes all watery at a light

 

but i dont hear anything, the car runs quiet.

 

are you sure its Exhaust and not an Oil leak..

 

Maybe...I am leakin oil in my spark plug tubes. And i havent washed my engine in a bit.

 

Also, Check for any holes in your firewall air could be leaking through.

 

I'll do that when i get my system installed.
