I have a comp cam in my hand as we speak... if you look on the end that is opposite the end with grooves there should be 1 set of numbers and one set of letters etched into it I have a 105300 for the D16Y8 and it says 05008 and the other one is SAC and then maybe a 1 or I or l or something. Hope this helps, let me know.

Well mine is a Comp/zex cam for the D16Y8 with all of the factory packaging receipts etc... and it has the same 5008 thing. So I would think that you got good product. What stage is the 53900? Mine is a stage 2 which may explain why yours lacks the second set of markings. Not sure, just shooting out ideas.

From what I hear you will be very very pleased with your cam selection. Just remember that if you plan on shifting after the stock redline then you should replace the valve springs, I have heard of countless horror stories in which someone didn't have the 150 for springs and fucked their engine up.
