I bought a obd0 B16a from Japan and this weekend me and my buddy tried to throw it in my 1990 Integra. We got it in but I had to hammer away at the front mount bracket (under the radiator) and now I think I can't use that right? And now the header downpipe won't let the engine sit in all the way! What do I have to do to get it in? Is there any stock or aftermarktet headers that would work? Do I have to do something to the I-beam? Please help me because now I don't have a car to get to work or school and I'm just really freakin out! So reply me ASAP!!!!

you really dont need that front mount. i didnt use it in mine. if you are running a 4-1 header try switching to a 4-2-1 if you are having clearance issuses.

I got the motor to fit. I called a local shop here in Sacramento called Midnight Performance. One of the employees told me that even though the LS is not a VTEC, you can still use the stock LS header. It cleared the oil pan and it bolted right on, now I don't have to worry about a check engine light being on because of the jdm header's 2 O2 senors, so every thing worked out. Oh yeah, and they also told me that "NOTCHING" the I-beam is not an good idea. Thankx alot guyz.
Maybe not notching...but banging that lip in with a BFH isn't too bad. I did that to clear my JDM ITR 4-1. That LS header will sap maybe a tad bit of power...just a tad bit though. Also, not using that front mount will encourage the engine to rock under throttle lift or braking...If you don't use it, then get some Energy Suspension poly mount inserts.
