Default heater blower motor queston

alright guys i am in desparate hope that someone other than me has made the mistake of tearing the heater fan apart.. i rescued my current 90 si from a field and while cleaning the mice nests out of the heater box, just behind the glove box where the recirculation flap is, i made the mistake of tearing the blower motor apart.. i took the bottom metal plate off to try to clean some more crap out and the springs popped out and now i cant get my new ones to sit in there correctly.. i can get the springs in there to where the fan will start again but the springs get caught up in there and end up getting FUBAR'ed.. if anyone has encountered this problem and can offer some insight let me know and thanks!

What springs? You mean the little springs that push the carbon brushes against the rotor? Are the carbon brushes missing & the springs themselves are rubbing against the rotor?
