trying to put a hydralic tranny into a cable car???
need help ?? what can i do to put my 96 gsr tranny into my 91 teg . i know there is a hydralic to cable conversion ,but can ireverse that u know use it the other way around. or do i have to replace my cable pedal with a hydralic pedal so my tranny could work????
You can convert a DA to use hydraulic, you will have to search for it in the archives or at g2ic.com. If i remember right it involves getting the clutch pedal from a DC, with the clutch master cylinder.
Or you can get the hydraulic to cable conversion from hasport, and it bolts on to the transmission. I know they sell it in a whole kit for the ef/crx, but you can email them to see if you can purchase it seperately.

The Hasport kit is what you're looking to do. You'd need the master cylinder and all that...IMO its easier to get a b16 cable transmission instead of all the work it'll take to get the newer gsr in there. IF you have the gsr trans already, you can take the internals from it and have them put in the LS case you have on your car now. Which would probably be cheaper or equal to the price of the kit, and then figure fluid and more parts to break etc...GOOD LUCK!!
