Thinkin of selling...opinions please!!
Hey guys, I have a 95 Integra GSR with 185K...I'm thinkin of selling my car because I want something newer. My next car would be either a RSX type-S or IS300. The blue book value is around $2,400. I think its worth a little more than that. The body is in very good shape. Its pretty stock with AEM CAI, type-r lip, lowered with Neuspeed springs and a custom 2.5 exhaust. Whats a reasonable price to ask for? Or should I just part it out??? Thank you
PS I bought the car with 158K in april 03 from an old couple which it was mostly highway miles...

You can get 4k for that GSR just because it's OBD1. Those are still good cars in many peoples eyes!

Haha, funny my GS-R was just recently totalled and I ened up looking at the two options you've got in mind: IS300 or RSX-S. After driving quite a few examples of each here is what I think. Also I sold my TWICE TOTALLED 95 GS-R with almost 153k miles on it for almost as much as you have listed there. Admittedly my car was mechanically perfect with tons of new parts, but still... Mine also had $5700+ in damage to it as well.
1) RSX-S - Pros: Great car, fun to drive, good gas mileage, handles very well and will last forever. Cons: Requires some revs to get the performance out it, kinda rough and noisy, small back seat, they should have made this car with HIDs, lacks arm rest.
2) IS300 - Pros: Very luxurious, incredible handling, perfect steering, car will last forever, lots of torque (no need to rev it up very much), HID headlights standard. Cons: Crappy gas milage (18/23), tires are more expensive, almost impossible to find a manual tranny version (and only 02+), lacks armrest in 2001, needs memory seat for the driver.
I decided on the IS300 (automatic), and given my car situation I feel confident that I made the right decision for me. I've already got an all out performance car (RX-7) so the IS300 just fit the bill to haul people, be sporty, and certianlly has the RSX owned in the looks department. If I didn't have my RX-7, and could only have one car, I probably would have gone with the RSX-S. The RSX is faster than the IS (probably not by tons though) and it's more "playful". That being said the IS is much more fun to take corners fast with, the handling and steering on the car are simply amazing.
Good luck,
