Default Nitrous techs? Head work or bottom end work...

After I finish up my DP kit install along with the extra goodies I was going to start on the internals. The obvious thing to do would be to build the bottom end right away with high compression pistons and double the nitrous shot. However I was thinking of perhaps building the head up first, so I would have a bit of engine work under my belt before I pulled the whole engine and stripped the block down. I wsa thinking of either a JUN or crower head package and a port and polish job. My guess is that I would get about 20-30 hp to the flywheel with the head package and I would only get up to an extra 5-10 hp with the 10.5:1 pistons, although I would have the ability to spray an ungodly amount of nitrous. Any discrepencies in my thinking and what are your opinions?

build the bottom end first. do the head and then have to tear it down again to the bottom end. The bottom end needs to have forged pistons to handle that nos you are using. Headwork, I would go with someone like portflow, dpr with stainless steel valves and make sure you tell the porter that this will be for NOS.
