Default ? to those of you who have wrecked

I crashed my poor Teg last night and did some damage to the front end. I have a 98 GS so its worth about $6000 in KBB. The front bumper, headlights, hood, the radiator is leaning towards the engine, the radiator support looks damaged, yadda yadda yadda. I haven't talked to insurance yet, but a friend of mine had a hit and run happen to his Z3 and his car was totalled by insurance. It ran fine, but there was a lot of damage to the passenger side.

Okay so my question, to those of you who have had front end wrecks, how much did you get from them, what kind of damage did you have and have any of you had your car totalled?

I doubt it's totalled, it'll probably be around 2-3,000 for all parts, labor, and paint, this is the time everybody goes JDM front end conversion.

How much I got from them? ....
I was involved in 2 front end wrecks before and I got $$ for both, due to the fact that it wasn't my fault. From my 1st wreck, I got $1200 for medical reimburstment, which was already paid for by my insurance. So I ended up pocketing that amount. As for the 2nd wreck, I am getting $8k for pain n suffering, lost wages, etc. The catch is that my lawyer is getting %30 of it, and my medical bill was ~$2.5k. So I'm only getting ~$1000 .

As for my car's I got $5200 for my 93 Si & $5400 for my 94 Si (somehow I got bad luck with EG's )

Both my EG's were "totalled" w/ similar damages to the front bumper support, headlights, both fenders, radiator, and hood. It doesn't really take much to total a Honda, because they would rather just pay you off than paying more money to fix it.

I got pix of the damages if you want to compare. Just pm me if you got any other questions. Good luck brotha.

I'm definately planning on a JDM conversion. My mom was like "You should just get it replaced and be happy you still had it." I told her this is the perfect time to do something I would never be able to afford and I love the look of the SiR-G headlights. I've got full coverage on my car, so I'm not worried about insurance wanting to fork out the money. They will either give me the money or total my car and have to pay me anyways and I'll keep the car. Anyone got an idea of the turn-around time on this? Like how long its gonna take me from the time I get it estimated until the time I get my car back, considering I'll be ordering a front end and waiting for that.

Also, should I goto an import garage to get the front end installed or a regular body shop. I'm not sure if it is something I should take to a "specialist". I figured an import shop would have more experience than a regular body shop at doing a conversion.
