Default stereo doesnt turn on.

Ok I got a new harness for my radio because old one was fried all the way from radio plug to the fuse box. I removed the dash and replced the whole thing with a new harness. Now when i tried to put in my new stereo, I dont get any power to it. I know its all wired right because i plugged it into my sisters accord and it worked fine. SO is there another area where wires could be messed up? And I have checked the fuse and its not bad.

maybe a bad ground? or obvious bad power connection...maybe the wire that tells wire that comes from the ignition is shorted out (tells the radio to turn on cause youve turned the key)

you might have better luck in the audio forum, but then again you dont get very quick responses there

Maybe the power wire,Ground or memory wire came loose,,
Did you solder and heat shrink everything to ensure good connection..??

Nice avatar by the way..

You're gonna have to do what I did then..I had to follow every wire in the stock harness untill I found my problem..In my case it was the Wire that turns on the stereo when the ignition is in the on position..It was corroded,,

took a test light to the plug to the plug part coming out of the dash and the only wire to light up was the blue and white wire. (had ignition on) light was on even after ignition was off.

Anyone have a diagram that can tell me what each wire is? I dont have my manual with me , i left it in the auto shop at school.

well i traced down the problem. took my test light to the plug at at fuse box and found the ignition wire. but the same wire doesnt light up on other end. looks like i get to pull the dash back out again. ugh
