Default Time to rid myself of the s2000

Well guys it's been an alright car. I just wish it was a tad bit bigger, faster, and less noiser. Personally I hate this car with a passion, and it's a pain to work on. So, this Monday it's going in the AutoTrader to sell. I've got my mind set on a 2001 Ford Lightning. I need something to tow my eg civic anyways. Around 600 bucks the Lightning runs 12's, does .85 on the skidpad, seat 3, and tow 5000lbs. Insurance on a lightning is 88 dollars versus my 170 for the shitbox i'm driving now. I've calculated the gas consumption of both cars, and with the insurance being cheaper on the Lightning. I should save 20 bucks a month switching to the Lightning.

Personally who cars if the S2000 can handle it's *** off. You can't go to the track all the time. If you play around too much on the streets you end up in a ditch. I think that should be the new stereotype for s2000 drivers. Where's your ditch at ?!?!?

I still love Honda's, and I will continue to race my eg hatch b20/vtec setup. Time for something that is truely comfortable to drive everyday to school and work. I'm tired of getting out my car, and have to stretch my back. I'm only 5'8 I can't imagine being taller, and still enjoying driving the car.

I absolutely love my s2k and i used to have a type r, which to me compaired to the s, the s wins in all aspects. It is a Honda that im not worried about theft, has leather, ac, convert, and is still fast and handles nice. It is def not for anyone taller than 5'8" which I am too. To each their own, but the S2k far exceeds my 00 si, or my type r. Thats my opinion

Sounds to me that even though your the right height, you were not fit to drive a S. Lightnings are fast, but its a Ford.

the s2000 is what it is. it is not for everyone, and you should have known that before you decided to buy the car.

How anyone could not like the S 2000, especially a Honda fan, is beyond me.

im 6 feet tall and im very comfortable. Man i would never trade my S for anything except for an NSX. Lightnings are fast because of their supercharger . To each his own. Good luck.

It should be: GOT DITCH?

i'm sorry it didn't work out for you, but keep your asinine comments to yourself. what seems like a "shitbox" to you is a great car to others.

id hardly call it a shitbox, i wouldnt even call a beat civic a shitbox, just because i love hondas so much. But if we are being real a honda s2000 is one step below the great NSX. So i guess the nsx would be "ok" in your book.

lol not knocking ford or american for that matter, but aside from their trucks, id take any honda over one any day of the week, that is my opinion, but i wouldnt call them shitboxes. This is sad, that one of hondas best car is considered a shitbox.

Well, I guess my sentiment is similar to many of those that have already posted. It sounds like you bought the wrong car for what your needs are. Hopefully she finds someone that will love her...

It's fun to drive, but makes me hurt when I drive it. Plus the Lightning has better resale than the s2000. I don't care too much about brands. I'm not so loyal that i'm blind that this car is hurting my back. If my back didn't ache everytime I got out of it. Then guess what I would keep it. I just don't see myself modding a s2000. It's all good though I had it for a good six months.

Oh, and the comment about the car.. I like to call a bunch of cars that. Just something I say doesn't mean I really think it is.
