At first, after reading about Tinker and his RWD Delsol, I was excited. But since I know **** about welding, I decided to stick with Swaps, and other not Fabing projects. I'll never be able to afford a NSX, and we will never have US Skylines, but that doesn't mean I cant build one

I just picked up a 1998 240sx with 76K miles for ~$6k Dont ask, lots of wheeling and dealing.

So Goodbye to the VTEC Hello to the Boost!

i've heard rumors that they might actually bring the skyline over here in 2007...

 

I am pretty confident the Skyline is comming in 2007, but its going to look exactly like the G35 coupe...... not as cool in my opinion.

 

Yeah, thats true, but compared to the old skylines, the new ones are CRAP because they are US spec. We get screwed on all the kool cars.

the g35 4 door already has the AWD drivetrain.....

 

So your building a skyline out of a 240sx.... Do you mean silvia?

thats why when people say "im getting a silvia front end" it means from a j-spec 240. either from a s13, s14, or s15.

And they aren't called 240's in Japan, so there is no "j-spec 240."

And an S13 is your so called silvia... The 89-93 240sx coupe. They aren't called 180sx's here.

i know they arnt called 240's in japan. they are called 180's
and i also know they arent called 180's here seeing as how i have a 240 with a 93 gts skyline swap.

If it has the heart of a Skyline, handles like a skyline, resembles a skyline (R33 Front end HOT!!) Then I consider it a skyline.

 

I had to get rid of the S because the Insurance was raping me. The 240 is only 320 a month for full coverage. The S was $200+ more a month

 

o for example...

240 with silvia front end (only seen on coupe's in japan) and sr20 motor ( found in all 240's in japan with small motor differences over the years ) would likely be called by the owner a SIL80. refering to the silvia front and 180sx motor

Obviously, I meant IS NOT. Called a typo. Since all of my facts I put were claerly stating it was not a skyline.

Actually, your simply making every actual import enthusiast look like total **** with that statement. Thats partly how thier ricer stereotype was formed and continues to exist. Its a 240, i dont care if its welded to a leer jet, it will always be a 240.
