Default JDM Headlamps (Stanley Black Housing) Some Questions...

Hey i was wondering, the new headlamps use H4 & H1 bulbs, my stock lamps use 9005 & 9006.

1. 1st Question, How do i wire it up to the existing connectors?
(I do not have the connectors for the new lights.)

2. Is there a conversion harness for this or anything like that?

3. will i have to find an H4 connector, and rewire it?

any help would be greatly appreciated, thanx

go to a junk yard and cut out 2 sets of h4 connectors from any civic. when u take out ur old headlights just cut the 9005/9006 connectors and connect the new h4 connectors.

Why bother to do that? Just get an H4 kit...

depending on who you get them from, they should come with the harness with about 2 or 3 inches of wire on them. mine came with all the harnesses, i just had to cut and splice them into the 9006 and 9005 wires. very easy, should take about 10-15 mins

you can buy an h4 adapter harness. I forget the name of the place that sells them, I'd have to look.

Civics came with H4s? Since when did that happen??

Anyway, like others said, just buy an H4 harness from just about any auto parts store or on ebay........then splice into your existing wiring. I'm trying to find out which terminal is for the high beam filament on an H4 so I can run the highs (as lows) then run the H1 (inner lights) as driving lights.

LOL, yeah.....i finally found all the connectors i need, and also the rubber covers for the back....3/4 bulbs that came with the lights worked, which saved me a few bucks....one of the H4's is a PIAA Super GT-X bulb, it looks nice, i gotta get the other side, cuz currently i'm running a 7$ bulb which looks like crap.

But as for the time spent, it took 2 hours to take off the Bumper, Rebar, Headlights, rewire the H4 connectors, sauder (or sodder) the wires together connect them up, and put it all back together again. i'll grab some pics when i can find a digi cam.
