Default YSR-NSR Need some info on some sites

Hey whats up, I am going to let you know ahead of time that I can not own a full size bike untill I move when im 18 ( 2years left) And for now I might be looking at the ysr nsr 50's etc... I have been doing some resaerch but I am asking for a little help

I was wondering if they have any forums like honda-tech etc........
If I got one I would have full gear take MSC ( even if not needed still want to for the future, also would prolly take it once a year) anyway I was just wondering if you guys could let me know of some sites and forums

Thank You.

thanks,

I am having a few problems with my computer and it wont let me post there I was wondering if you all could help me out

What is the speed for these bikes stock
I would probly be swaping in an 125cc into it but I was just wondeing what the stock speed of the ysr50 is?

I would be buying full gear and taking MSC when i buy the YSR50 just some FYI

Do these bikes brake down all the time like the little pocket bikes????

Thanks,

I'm not sure about YSR's but an Aprilia RS50 will do 65mph with its 12hp motor. The Aprilia RS125 with its 33hp motor will do 95mph.

Did you see the new Honda NSR50R's? They're no joke. http://powersports.honda.com/m...R50R4

The best street legal bike to start off would be the Kawasaki Ninja 250R. And its cheaper than the NSR. http://kawasaki.com/index2.asp

yah i saw the nsr50r i went to the honda dealership ( Bikes ) and saw it i asked the price they want $5,299.99 for it! Which is WAY to much

I would be buying a used one but my dad wont let me have the ninja 250 cuz its a "Full Size" bike, I am hoping he'll let me have a ysr tho I found some used for 1k+

We'll see
I am not going to bring it up to him untill I have all the money for everything, bike gear etc.... then i'l talk to him

Thanks

Thats not stupid at all. I wish affordable pocket bikes were around when I was younger. Rossi still races mini motos as a hobby.

yah, I got the cheap chinease ones tho and it doesnt really work any more, I paid 200 +150.00 for S/H for it and I found someone that wants it for 300, I told them its broken but they said they still want it, so 300 is that much closer to my goal,
BTW, thanks, I Know I was born to ride, Its hard to explain but I just know.

BTW for these bikes do have to mix the oil and gas or would I be able to pull in a gas station and just put in the few gallons,

Thanks,

A bone stock YSR will be lucky to see 50mph. More like 45. Its pretty easy to modify them so they go 60 though. These guys can help:

You're not going to get a stock rs50 to 65 either unless you go down some steep *** hill. More like 55.

It is not true for all YSR's becouse my bike dose 50 pretty easy. And it is a old bike 87 but some people can still can do a wheelie on it.

Hope you plan on riding it on the track because getting it street legal is a pain in the ***...at least you're not in california.

250 Ninja is nowhere near a "full size" bike, it only looks like one. U would be better off starting with the ninja than the ysr because of the height and weight of it. U would be worse off with the ysr because when u get to a "full size" bike u will not be used to the weight or height, and the power would be more overwhelming. The Ninja would be a more realistic trainer bike than the ysr but I would highly recommend a 500cc bike.
Just so happens I know someone who may still have a 2003 Ninja 250 for $1800 or $2000. I haven't seen it myself but someone who has said that if his wife wanted to ride he would have definitely bought it for her. He said it still looks new, and the girl who owns it says it's to slow...LOL. Her and her fiance bought it brand new in 2003 I believe. I think it has less than 1500 miles on it.
Good Luck
