Mexico paintjob – body work

I have heard of people taking their cars down to Mexico and getting them painted / cleaned up. I am just wondering if anyone off of h-t has done this. Experiences and advice would be greatly appreciated. Also if you have a recommendation that would be cool. I am not looking for show quality – just something decent “better then Maaco but around the same price”.

Are you serious? In that case I will see what my friend knows – my boy is in evil.

Mexico is close as hell to us in San Diego – just get Mexico insurance and keep an eye on your car. That’s why I am looking for recommendations – I know one guy lives down there who posts here but I forgot his user name. When I used to work at the car audio store tons of Navy guys with mostly “show looking but clean” cars said they got the work done in Mexico for cheap. I am not taking anything really expensive down there – see my signature.

Painting your car in Mexico, is the same way it is in the United States. I've seen some lowriders painted in Mexico that look like glass, unbeleivable quality. Others I've seen look like Maaco.
You get what you pay for.
