seems like city you'd actually get better with a b16 because you're at like 4000rpm at highway speeds and the lowwwww final drive makes it so you hardly have to touch the gas at all and gas mileage is primarily determined by throttle position...

As short as my B16's final drive gear was, I still had better gas mileage with Hwy than City. San Diego city driving killed my gas so bad. I'd literally fill up every 2 or 3 days normal/average driving.

do you know offhand the final drive ratio of the USDM and JDM b16 trannies? i was talkin to some domestic freak last night who was a total import hater and he said his friend put a "drag ratio rear end" in his car and it was a 4.11 i was like "haha the jdm ITRs have like a 4.7 stock" and his jaw about dropped to the floor

Mine gets me low 30s going highway and hitting vtec once or twice.
Going only city i get low 20s and sometime high 20s. Depends on how i drive.
Torqueless beast

My motor is also built to hit 9-10k shifts.
Kenji type r p28 chipped
or Mugen p28 chipped

I run both. I mainly use the kenji for street driving. Havn't driven my hatch since september. Only about 2 more months until it's safe to bring her back on the street.
Stupid winter.

holly ****..and i only have 96K miles on mine....

well, kinda think about it....i made around 300miles per tank when i got it this summer stock... then after lowering it 2inches, swaping wheels for proline 205/40/16's, adding a knockoff apex-i catback, cheap ebay highflow cat, and a AEM V2 intake... (ill also add an accident w/ a deer that threw my alignment off slightly that i didnt fix) i got about 150mi per tank all city w/ 4 ppl (including me) in the car...

Now its raised again (i think i got it higher then stock specs) and the steelies are back on for the winter... i ride alone (majority of the time) and i shift early and still around 180mi per tank....

im guessing the alignment...

BTW: sorry to thread jack...

i dont know the reputation of anyone yet.. "trial user" here.

15-17 is v8 territory though, so i thought it might be cuz of really aggressive cams or high flow injectors..
