i thought of that but would that explain the loss of pressure in the e brake line?
yea it's stoooopid cold
i also checked the fluid and open the bleed valve and fluid was flowing, dont know if this helps

WTF?! lmao...
Anyway, yeah, both our rear are engaged by the e-brake. Since it's cold out and you can't really do much around/outside the car, go inside and remove the center console piece so you can see the two cables that attach to your e-brake handle. See if either of the two cables move as you release/engage your e-brake handle.

alright-got it rolling. i disconnected the bracket that holds down the e brake cables inside the car. that let the cable move enough for the wheel to spin. i am just gonna leave it disconnected until i can take the wheel and drum off to inspect/clean/change whatever needs to be changed. thanks for everyone's help

i'd say it's still at lleast partially frozen.the hub/drum area doesn't get warmed any if you let the car run and warm up,so letting the car run won't get the brake unfrozen.getting the car moveable, and driving it some will heat things up enough to fix it.

It's not frozen. This happened to an EK that we E-tested last year, I got in it and tried to drive, but the left rear wheel was stuck and the ebrake handle had a similar feeling to what he described. I told one of the mechanics what was happening, and he went outside and fixed it. I didn't see what he did exactly because I had other cars to test, but I know he had that wheel off, and he told me he had to back the shoes off from the access hole on the backing plate.
