UPDATE: Cause I know people jsut read the first line cause there retarded

Ok guys wow Im lucky.
I went down to the shop today cause I didnt ahve time to take off the head and anyways they do it for free for me. ANyways my timing belt was shredded but still had a strand holding. Good thing i drove it right there. 1 More mile would of snapped completely. Phew damn timing belts are expensive tho damn. Anywas ganna get that fixed then see if I still hear the clicking then check the valves to see if I bent any but they think its jsut the timeing belt and maybe it wasnt getting oil or something cause it was slipping. What you guys think? What happend was when I miss shifted it hit 10 grand so the engine slowed down way to fast and the belt jsut tore. The other day when I drove it to the shop i heard like a peace rip off good thing I was bringing it there. Phew so close.

Last night I was jsut reving high to like 7-8 rpms and when I went to throw it in 4th it went to second some how ive never seen it do that. It went it and was like VRRAAAAMM went up to 9-10 by the time i got it out? I have a warrenty on the rods on my car cause I just blew my engine a few weeks ago haha. this sucks.


What do you guys think? The engine still runs fine but has a weird noise like a repetitive thing.

Maybe you bent a valve, it could be a lot of things... First If I was you I would do a compresion test... and start from there.... Does the car start, How does thwe car sounds when it is on.......

 

yeah it sounds like a bent valve to me, do the compression test like chero said and hopes nothing in the block is *** up.

 

are you talking about a stock gsr or modified one. stock cant rev pass 8300rpm without being chipped. and if it is modified, learn to drive stick shift first before dragging it. people like you eat gearboxes and motors. which makes it difficult for us

 

Well I jsut got the block polished and crap cause there was a hole in it when I blew it before I blew 1 Valve rod thing and the rest were bent. I have a warenty on the block and the valve job I think that is what it is right? the things that look like big nails with a flat end? If it is then Ill get it for free. Ill get a video clip of it. Ganna go do it right now. it makes sort of a clicking kinda sound.


Last time this happend i fucked the block but like i knew cause it sounded like a sti and i was running on like 3 pistons or 2. So it doesnt sound like the block cause that jsut got all brand spanking new.

 

You misshifted, and you probably bent a valve. You should really practice driving easy before you go revving that high. Seems like you don't have enough skill yet to shift at redline.

If you bring it back and they find out you misshifted I doubt they are going to fix it for free. Have a compression test done. Other that that you will have to remove the head and see if there was any piston to valve contact.

 

no they will lol my machinics are awsome. After they fixed it the first time they were like now you have 12k miles to blow it up again haha.


O dude ive been driving for a long time thats why my engine didnt fully jsut explode cause I threw it out. I race my car all the time. THe shifter has been acting weird lately. Anyways.

Do a compression frist, stop reving the car so high, stop driving it like an animal get the check out as fast as you can before you mess it up anymore.....(DO a compression right a way)

And you need to learn how to ****.. Anyone can drive but if this is you second time ******* something up on your car, you really need to learn how to ****. I mean what rpm to **** at, at what rpm does you car stop making power at. Do a search and find all these thing's out.....

Do a compression test. you definately messed something up.

If is a ticking chitty chitty bang bang noise you need A VALVE LASH ADJUSTMENT,
i don`t know how any of you think fuel cut off is going to slow down a 2600lb car during a mis-shift so it wont go past 8300 but that must be some amazing ****. Anyways if you cup your hand towards the passenger side during the 3-4 shift it will naturally slide into gear because you arent pulling towards you, its quicker, easier and more fun and NO MORE 3-4 MIS-SHIFT!!!

well if you hear some ticking, most likely it's a bent valve, or maybe even those rods. Do a compression, that is a must and post the results. Sorry to hear.

 

we just blew a motor last week and it sounded like that, but way louder....

By driving 5 miles later... the oil pan broke loose and blew... are you sure its not a rod? We couldn't idel for ****...
