Crankshaft Help ASAP*************
In the middle of changing timing belt, does anyone know of a place to find the tool needed to remove the pulley? Honda dealer wasn't very helpful. Also is there a way to pull of the pulley without the tool? bout to grab some lunch please respond ASAP thx in advance
Crankshaft pulley should come off when the bolt is removed. What year? Engine? You can put a big socket into the middle of the crank pulley and smack it with a hammer to 'shock' the pulley loose from the crankshaft, then try getting it off by wiggling a little bit side to side top to bottom, etc.
asuming you cant get the bolt off
use a air gun if this dosnt work do this....
get a 1/2" breaker bar put on a 19 mil deep socket enough extensions so the bar is outside the fender.
then put a 6 foot long metal pipe over the breaker bar.. now you have to get a friend
get your friend to stand on the break petal
but all your weight on the pipe it should break that bolt loose
good luck
remember to torqe back to 181 foot pounds
