Default 5 Lug Conversion Trouble

today i wanted to put my 5 lug conversion on my ep. i planned on using the whole Type s brake conversion on the front and just the hub and rotors on the rear... the back hub and rotor bolted up just fine, then we figured we should try one of the fronts so we take all the stock brakes off, then try to bolt up the 5 lug so we put the ball joint in then the axel...but the 2 bolts that hold the knuckle and shock together will not go back into place (we cant get them to reach) so now we have tried almost everything so we tried to put the stock back on but now it will not go either...!!!!!??? whats going on???? help!!!

thanks

is it ur shock that wont fit now? try to jack it up because sometimes when u take them off the suspension and theres nothing holding it in place anymore it will shoot out and its hard to recompress. if this is it then try to jack it up and if its still not going then u might have possible ruined ur shocks/struts.

what probably happened.. if u cant get the hub to come up and meet the shock is.. while u taking out the old parts or putting in the new stuff, you probably popped the inner or outter cv joints out of place. which means.. the axel is now longer than it should be. so while ur trying to push it up, its bottoming out. it happened to me before while doing a suspension install on an ep.

try pushing on the sides of the rubber boots and push the axel back into place.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by blk02ep3 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">anyone?</TD></TR></TABLE> baahhh your axle popped out of place (outter cv joint) thisis why i hate ep3/dc5 suspension setups (square bearing seat)

thats your only problem, just pull the axle out and have sum1 put it back in good luck
