my header with a cat?
i think my header is a little less than 2.0" collector. what kind of cat can I get to work with that? or is it not worth it for such a small header?

, if it's the DC 4-2-1 in your sig, it is around 2" (1.94 maybe?) and works fine with the stock cat. No use for a high flow cat unless you switch to a JDM ITR or another 2.5" collector header and a larger diameter exhaust.

I don't necessarily agree that there is "no use" for a high-flow cat if you aren't running a 2.5" collector. Although people running larger collectors replace their stock cats with high-flow versions out of necessity (since the stock cat won't bolt up), that doesn't mean that a setup with a smaller collector wouldn't also benefit from the improved flow characteristics of an aftermarket cat. The stock cat is quite small and restrictive, so replacing it with a larger, better-flowing model would certainly be an improvement.

I think it is probably not all that beneficial in his current setup, his sig says he has a 4-2-1 header and an AEM intake. There may be a small benefit to getting a high flow cat now, with a 2" collector header and a stock exhaust, but that will change with the introduction of other modifications. I do see your point, and I certainly would recommend a high flow cat down the road when you introduce cams, im, exhaust, etc to the mix.
