i recently installed a skunk2 intake mainfold on a sohc 1.6 vtec motor the D16z6. and when i mash on the throttle the sensor on the back side of the throttle body rubbes against the break porprtioning valve on the firewall. any suggestions as to how to fix this problem would be greatly appreciated.

I've installed that manifold for a customer before and found it to be a royal heap of ***. Not only was the porportioning valve clearance crap, the throttle body was moved too far back and the intake was rubbing on the fuel line as well. That along with a couple other small issues made me believe the only manifold skunk makes that is worth a damn is the ITR copy. Of course you are going to find people who disagree, so please keep in mind this is just my opinion.

As far as resolving the rubbing, you are going to need to put something between the manifold and the valve. I would suggest something rubber to absorb the vibrations. The vibrations are the main thing to worry about because over time, something will wind up with a hole in it.
